Grenada – The Island of Spice

Picture this: A palm tree softly blowing in the breeze, the smell of nutmeg gently wafting in the air, while warm turquoise blue waters gently lap on a powdery white sandy shore. Sound like a dream? Actually, it sounds like Grenada.

Nicknamed the Island of Spice, Grenada is one of the world’s largest exporters of nutmeg and mace. Comprised of three main islands and several other smaller ones, Grenada is located northeast of Venezuela in the West Indies. The island enjoys over 120km of pristine white sand beaches—most of which are relatively deserted.

The capital, St. George’s is a full of colourful colonial buildings perched around a horseshoe-shaped harbour. While tourism is the island’s main industry, it’s still relatively quiet compared to some of its neighbours. There are still lots of pristine towns, hideaways, and scenery to be enjoyed on this pleasant tropical island.

As a member of the Commonwealth, Grenada has a stable political environment and many tax advantages for investors.

Grenada boasts a Citizenship by Investment program that offers individuals citizenship and a passport in as little as four months upon a minimum $350,000 USD investment in either the National Transformation Fund (NTF) or another government-approved project. In addition to the initial investment, there is a fee of $50,000 USD for a family of up to four people.
