Overview of Oman Residency by Investment Program

In 2021, the Sultanate of Oman introduced the Investor Residency Program, offering 5-year and 10-year visas to attract global investors and their families. This initiative supports Oman’s vision to drive economic growth, encourage investment in key sectors, and create a welcoming environment for international talent and businesses. The program aims to diversify the economy, generate employment, and ensure long-term development through foreign investments. To enhance the program’s regional competitiveness, the Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion appointed Migrate World in 2022 to review and recommend improvements. Approved changes, including new investment options and thresholds, are set to be implemented in September 2024.
