|||Though separated by only 3km of water, St. Kitts and Nevis offer two very distinctive experiences. Here you can get the best of both worlds—vibrant and energetic towns coupled with pristine natural beauty and plenty of peace and quiet.
The capital of the two-island nation is Basseterre which is found on St. Kitts and is slightly more touristy and bustling—that is, if you can call a city with four main streets and a population of less than 14,000 bustling. Here you’ll find the main tourist resorts, shops, restaurants, universities and the economic centre. Outside of the city, St. Kitts is covered in lush tropical rainforest—a quarter of which is a national park—that is actually expanding in size rather than shrinking.
By contrast, Nevis is much smaller, and much quieter. It’s possible to circumnavigate the entire island in less than two hours and the main city here, Charlestown, is far more peaceful and laid back.
St. Kitts and Nevis is also well known for their government sanctioned Citizenship by Investment program. Established in 1984, the program allows investors to make an investment in the country in exchange for citizenship and a second passport in as little as 6-9 months.
Investors can purchase a piece of this tropical sanctuary for a minimum investment of $400,000 USD and can choose from an extensive list of government approved developments on both St. Kitts and Nevis. Investors are not required to travel to the country—although with its pristine sandy shores, warm turquoise waters, and island-lifestyle, many might find it hard to stay away.
