Unlike many other countries around the world, the United Kingdom doesn’t have one specific constitutional document. Instead, a sum of laws and principles make up the body politic of the UK. There are four primary areas to draw from: statue law (laws passed by the legislature), common law (laws established through court judgements), works of authority, and parliamentary conventions.

Immigration—including citizenship by investment options—is a points based system in the UK. Points are awarded for age, education, earnings, and previous UK work experience. There are 15 rules and multiple appendices that outline the full ins and outs of immigration to the UK.

For high net-worth individuals, the Tier-1 Visa offers entry to the UK leading to residency and eventually citizenship. There are two streams: Investor and Entrepreneur.
