On July 4, 1776 the United States of America official declared their independence from Great Britain. And when the American Revolution ended in 1783, the United States became the first territory to successfully win a war of independence against a European power.

The American constitution was first drafted in 1789 and been amended 27 times since. The USA’s constitution was the first of its kind and in turn has influenced the constitution of many other nations around the world.

Following the Immigration Act of 1990, the EB-5 program was created by Congress to stimulate the US economy through job creation and capital investment by foreign investors. Under a program initially enacted in 1992 as a pilot, qualified applicants can apply for EB-5 classification by investing in designed regional centres designed to promote regional growth. On May 5, 2017 the president of the United States signed Public Law 115-31, extending this program through September 30, 2017.

To obtain the visa, applicants must invest $1,000,000 (or at least $500,000 in a Targeted Employment Area) creating or preserving at least 10 jobs for US workers.
