|||The dual island nation of Antigua and Barbuda is nestled in the middle of the Leeward Islands in the Lesser Antilles in the Caribbean Sea. Nicknamed “Land of 365 Beaches”, these laid-back islands have a distinct British flair. But don’t be fooled—the laid-back vibe belies a bustling capital, St. John’s. As bustling, that is, as a city with a population of just over 22,000 can be.
St. John’s is noted for being one of the most cosmopolitan and developed cities in the entire Caribbean. And shoppers take note: The city is renowned for its luxury boutiques and high-end shopping malls in addition to it’s smaller, independently run shops. From diamonds to Prada, to fine art and locally made goods, there’s plenty of opportunity for a little retail therapy here.
St. John’s is also an economic hub and many major financial institutions have offices here.
