Why United Kingdom
Popularly known as “the UK” or “Britain,” the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland consists of four countries located off the northwestern coast of continental Europe: England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. The UK operates the world’s sixth-largest economy—and Europe’s third largest—and the main currency of its partially regulated market economy is the Pound Sterling (GBP), the world’s third-largest currency after the US Dollar and the Euro.
Little needs to be said about the United Kingdom’s great cachet, owing to the popularity of its culture, strong economy, global military presence, contributions to scientific progress, and international political influence.

The UK offers two visa-investment options—both of which allow investors to quickly gain legal residency in the country.
For “high-value migrants” the Tier 1 Entrepreneur Visa and Tier 1 Investor Visas help applicants gain residency in the UK within 6-9 months.
Participants in both programs need to open a UK bank account and reside 6 out of 12 months for 5 years in the UK in order to gain permanent residency and citizenship afterwards.
Applicants will undergo an interview with an officer in the UK Embassy, and all permanent residence applicants must complete and pass two approved English tests (IELTS, and a Life in the UK test).
Investors must commit a minimum of £2,000,000 into UK government bonds, share capital, or loan capital. This must be in active and trading UK-registered companies (other than those mainly engaged in property investment, management or development).
The investment must be maintained for a period of 5 years with a visa renewal after 3 years. There is an option to obtain permanent residency after completing the 5 years. An investment of at least £5,000,000 will accelerate the option to settle after 3 years, and an investment of at least £10,000,000 will accelerate it to settle after just 2 years.
